Job summary

a.i. solutions is seeking a highly-motivated Cyber Software Analyst to support the Reagan Test Site (RTS) Engineering and Technical Services (RETS) Program in Huntsville, AL. You will perform software analysis, vulnerability research, and RMF/DoD compliance tasks to protect mission systems.

The role requires hands-on use of SAST/DAST/SCA tools, reporting and mitigation collaboration with developers and cyber teams, and occasional after-hours support to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Ten or more years of relevant experience including three+ years in specialized Cybersecurity/Software Assurance.
• Mastery of SAST/DAST/SCA tools and the ability to tune them to reduce false positives.
• Thorough understanding of NIST SP 800-53/800-161 and how SwA artifacts support the RMF/ATO process.
• Must meet DoD 8140.03 IAM/IAT Level II or III requirements (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or CSSLP) CISSP preferred.
• Exceptional ability to communicate security risks and remediation strategies to both developers and non-technical mission stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical engineering support and research in Software Assurance to analyze code and binary files.
• Perform senior cyber assurance analyst tasks in RMF, DoD regulations, incident response, risk assessment, and software assurance.
• Analyze code with automated tools and manual techniques to identify flaws, vulnerabilities, and indicators.
• Provide detailed reports and work with customer cybersecurity and development teams on mitigations.
• Research emerging software assurance tools and report their applicability to client requirements.
• Examine potential security violations and respond per Incident Response Plan.
• Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot cyber assurance problems in RTS network environment.
• Conduct cyber assurance training and vulnerability scanning as required.
