Job summary

a.i. solutions seeks a Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support RETS and RTS programs. You will design, code, test, document, and release software across multiple domains, collaborating with software and system engineers, CM, and test operations.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance eligibility, a CS/CE/SE degree, and 5+ years in OO software development (Java preferred). Occasional weekend work and DoD 8570 IAT II certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance prior to start.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/SE or related engineering field.
• 5+ years as a Software Engineer with strong OO programming (prefer Java).
• Security+ / CySA+ / GICSP or similar DoD 8570 baseline IAT Level II certification prior to start date and maintain thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, document, and release new and modified software in a team environment.
• Coordinate with Software and System Engineers, CM, and Test Operations for integration, verification, and validation of new code.
• Support RETS across multiple software domains.
• Work with real-time software applications on the RHEL OS.
• Maintain existing software projects, fix bugs, and prevent code rot.
• Address RMF findings within our software products.
• Contribute to range test missions and RETS technical projects.
• Maintain membership on Issue and Technical Review Boards for software artifacts.
• Prepare for and obtain DoD baseline certifications (IAT Level II) and maintain thereafter.
• Occasionally work non-duty hours or weekends to meet project requirements.
