Job summary

Revolutional is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Administrator to support containment, eradication, and recovery in a SOC for a large federal agency across on-premises and cloud environments. The role requires leading others and performing in a fast-paced incident response setting.

The candidate will work with Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory, scripting, and automation, with shifts including evenings or holidays during incidents; on-site at New Carrollton, MD or Memphis, TN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with OS patching and cyber operations.
• Strong Windows and Linux administration skills including Active Directory.
• Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

Responsibilities

• Carry out containment, eradication, and recovery actions in a SOC per client directions.
• Restore systems to a secure operational state and prevent recurrence.
• Document all response actions for incident closure.
• Lead others assisting in the work and coordinate with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain OS and software patching and perform backups and recoveries.
• Automate monitoring, troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance.
