SHINE Systems in Reston, VA seeks a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to capture and refine security requirements and ensure integration into IT products and systems through architecting, design, development and configuration.

Responsibilities include leading development teams for system design or upgrading legacy systems, conducting analyses to identify effective security solutions, translating laws and regulations into security designs, and guiding security architectures and investments while

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Engineering, CS, IT, MIS, or related STEM degree program, or 18+ years of work experience as a Cyber Security Engineer.
18+ years of working experience in government or industry within Cyber Security.
DoD 8570 Level II (IASAE) certification compliance.
TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.

Responsibilities

Capture and refine information security requirements and ensure integration into IT component products and information systems.
Assist with leading development teams to design and develop information systems or upgrade legacy systems.
Conduct AoA analyses to identify the most appropriate security solutions.
Assist with leading the development of system concepts and translate regulations into security designs and processes.
Assist with leading the development and documentation of Security Architectures, Roadmaps, and investments.
Oversee the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level contractor Cyber Security Engineers.
