MANTECH in Springfield, VA is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to safeguard critical systems and networks against cyber threats, providing expert‑level support in a dynamic operational environment. This role focuses on detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents to protect client data and infrastructure.

You will lead CSOC activities, perform incident triage and trend analysis, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain a proactive security posture in a 24x7

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 4+ years in cybersecurity.
• 5+ years hands-on incident response, malware detection and cybersecurity operations.
• Active IAT Level II certification (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, CCNA-Security) mandatory.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and security concepts.
• Knowledge of current security principles, techniques and threat mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) activities, managing cyber and network sensor operations.
• Perform security event analysis and incident correlation using data from multiple enterprise sources to identify potential threats.
• Conduct cyber incident triage to assess scope, urgency, and potential impact, while identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
• Track and document cyber incidents from initial detection through resolution, analyzing potential damage to data and infrastructure.
• Perform trend analysis of cyber threats, produce detailed reports, and support 24x7 mission operations to ensure continuous security monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain a proactive security posture, ensuring readiness for incident response and threat mitigation.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and adjust strategies accordingly to protect organizational assets.
