Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Senior Enterprise IT Security Architect to lead the design and deployment of Isolated Recovery Environments for enterprise clients, in both on‑prem and cloud contexts. The role is hands‑on, deeply technical, and client‑facing, with teams typically ranging from three to fifteen consultants depending on engagement size.

You will own end-to-end IRE architecture, guiding security controls, AD forest recovery, and backup integration while mentoring delivery teams. U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in enterprise IT security architecture, infrastructure, or cyber recovery.
• Hands-on design and deployment of isolated, air-gapped environments.
• Strong knowledge of network segmentation, firewalling, VLANs, and isolation in on-premises and cloud.
• Deep understanding of Active Directory forest recovery and identity separation.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Familiarity with Rubrik/Cohesity data‑flow patterns; hands-on not required.
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery teams and engage with clients.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and hands-on deployment of Isolated Recovery Environments (IREs).
• Design robust isolation controls including air-gapping, one-way paths, and VLAN strategies.
• Architect services for IRE including compute, storage, networking, DNS, and backup integration.
• Guide AD forest recovery and identity separation within isolated environments.
• Define secure administration models and PAM integration.
• Ensure immutable storage and validated data transfer into IRE with backup tools.
• Develop runbooks, tests, and recovery procedures for clients.
• Lead delivery teams across design and deployment phases; mentor staff.
• Engage with client stakeholders to translate resilience requirements into practical designs.
• Document architectures, standards, and recommendations.
