Job summary

Nyla Technology Solutions in Columbia, Maryland, seeks an experienced security-cleared professional to join our cyber operations team. You will represent the team in cross‑agency groups, participate in Joint Duty Assignments, support external customers, and apply JOPES to plan and execute operations at tactical and campaign levels.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 12+ years of cyber operations, network analysis, or data engineering experience, or Master’s in related field, or HS diploma with 17+ years of specialized experience
• Experience in cross-agency collaboration and JOPES framework
• Hands-on experience planning and executing cyber operations in mission-critical environments
• Strong ability to engage with inter-agency partners and field operators

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

In this role, you won’t just sit on the sidelines—you will actively represent the team in cross-Agency working groups, Joint Duty Assignments (JDA), external customer support, and field operations. You’ll leverage your deep understanding of the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) to plan and execute high-impact cyber operations at both the tactical and campaign levels. If you love solving tough problems, building strong inter‑agency partnerships, and bringing creative, adaptable engineering solutions directly to the tip of the spear, Team Nyla wants you on the front lines with us.

The annual base salary range for this role is $135,000-$160,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

Required Skills

• External Engagement & Collaboration: Proven track record of successful cross-Agency collaboration, JDA participation, field experience, and direct external customer engagement.
• Cyber Operations Expertise: Hands‑on experience planning and executing tactical-level or campaign-level cyber operations in mission‑critical environments.
• JOPES Process Mastery: Solid practical familiarity with the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) framework and procedures.
• Strategic Communication: Strong ability to represent organizational capabilities, facilitate technical alignments, and build trust with inter‑agency partners and field operators.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 12+ years of professional experience in cyber operations, network analysis, or data engineering OR Master’s Degree in a related field OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 17+ years of specialized technical experience in lieu of a degree.

Desired Skills

Deep understanding of joint military operational planning frameworks and joint cyber command integration.

Experience delivering field support or direct operational embedded support in dynamic, high‑stakes environments.

Passion for continuous learning, cross‑functional teamwork, and aligning technology solutions with end‑user mission needs.

PAY

Nyla starts with 4 weeks of Annual Leave plus 11 holidays and an additional day of Annual Leave for each year you’re at the company. You have the flexibility to cash out your annual leave hours, opt out of other Nyla benefits, and/or arrange for additional hours on contract* (over 40 hrs/week). There’s even an option to earn 1.3 times your hourly rate once you work over 1880 hours on contract!
