Job summary

Computer World Services Corp. (CWS) seeks a Cyber Operational Readiness Assessment professional to support AFCAT in the 688th Cyberspace Wing.

You will assess security controls, configurations, and vulnerabilities across DoD networks to harden the information infrastructure and reduce attack surfaces. The role involves performing CORA tasks, coordinating with base leadership, generating detailed findings, and recommending remediation aligned with NIST and DoD 8570 requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience, or 8+ years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• Understanding of network architecture to include review of network diagrams/topology.
• Understanding of router/firewall/switch configurations.
• Understanding of network traffic flow.
• Experience evaluating systems against security control frameworks and working with customers in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess security controls and network configurations.
• Analyze system and network configurations for vulnerabilities.
• Create clear, detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Coordinate travel and CORA activities with team members.
• Participate in regular teleconferences with base leadership to identify issues and inform commanders.
• Provide written feedback on process update recommendations.
• Complete supervisory and administrative tasks as required.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
