Job summary

Chisago County is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to deliver advanced cybersecurity services for the interconnected E-911 and CJIS networks. Responsibilities include configuring Cisco firewalls, core routers, switches, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.

The role requires strong Linux/Windows experience and VMware, with CJIS background check and a valid driver's license. The position is full-time in the IT Services division, reporting to the IT Services Manager/DES

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in Information Systems, with at least 2 years in computer systems security administration.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two-year certificate in data processing, computer science, microcomputer or related field, and 4 years of experience, or seven years of related network security experience.

Responsibilities

Lead configuration and management of core network services and devices.
Oversee security practices standardization, business continuity, service and security methods across County systems.
Provide day-to-day mentoring to Infrastructure Services staff and lead IT projects.
Coordinate timelines, deliverables and project schedules for IT initiatives.
