Job summary

Chisago County seeks an IT Security Professional to design, implement and manage county computer systems. This role supports information technology initiatives county-wide, ensures security of data, and leads security projects.

Required: 6+ years in Information Systems with 2+ years in computer systems security administration; CJIS background check; two-year certificate in data processing or related field; driver’s license. Full-time, on-site in Center City, MN.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Information Systems, with at least 2 years of computer systems security administration experience preferred.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Requires a minimum of a two-year certificate in data processing, computer science, microcomputer or related field, and 4 years of experience or seven years of related experience in network security and Microsoft networking.

Responsibilities

• Oversees configuration and management of core network services and devices.
• Leads IT projects, coordinating timelines, deliverables and project schedules.
• Provides afterhours support of county networks as part of an on-call rotation.
• Develops and maintains security practices, policies and procedures across County systems.
• Communicates with DES Management and ensures compliance with privacy regulations.
