Job summary

Everfox is seeking a Senior Cyber Engineer to join our professional services engineering team. You will troubleshoot, resolve, and support complex security solutions across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

You’ll work with HBSS, Tanium, Digital Guardian, and other enterprise tools while coordinating with customers and management. Ideal candidates have DoD experience, strong Linux/Windows administration, Kubernetes, and Elastic Stack capabilities, plus cloud and IaC expertise.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cyber security, or equivalent experience.
• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification at IAT II (or higher)
• Ability to obtain US ITAR/EAR work authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Everfox solutions; visit customer locations in the US and abroad to resolve issues and support integrations.
• Install, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot Everfox solutions in physical, virtual, and air-gapped environments.
• Administer RHEL and Windows Server systems and hypervisor platforms, including patching and hardening.
• Support Everfox solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure) including networking and load balancers.
• Administer and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Deploy and maintain Elastic Stack environments and dashboards.
• Configure endpoint agents and ensure policy compliance.
• Integrate and troubleshoot identity services (Keycloak, AD, Entra ID/ADFS, PKI).
• Maintain data center hardware and network equipment.
• Plan migrations and tech refreshes with minimal downtime.
• Travel to customer locations as needed.

Job Title: Senior Cyber Engineer

Location : Roamer (80% travel DC/Nova, 20% remote)

Position Summary:

Everfox is one of the world’s most significant private cybersecurity software and professional service companies. As a Senior Cyber Engineer at Everfox, you’ll join our growing professional services engineering team. The work is challenging and provides support to a multiple customers. Supporting these customers will require you to troubleshoot and resolve various issues independently.

While you’ll have access to other engineering staff, you’ll be expected to be a self-starter and multitask while communicating effectively with the customers and Everfox management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience providing administrator or SME-level support for in infrastructure and endpoint security solutions, such as HBSS, Tanium, Digital Guardian, etc.

What You'll be Doing:

• Serve as a product subject matter expert (SME) for Everfox solutions. Visit customer locations in the US and abroad, often working independently, to resolve technical issues, support integrations, and own issues through resolution.
• Install, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot Everfox solutions in physical, virtual, and air-gapped environments.
• Administer RHEL and Windows Server systems and hypervisor platforms, including patching and hardening.
• Support Everfox solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure), including networking, load balancers, and hybrid connections back to on-premises systems.
• Administer and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Deploy and maintain Elastic Stack environments (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), including bringing in log and metric data, tuning search performance, and building dashboards.
• Deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot endpoint agents, including agent communication, install issues, and policy configuration.
• Integrate and troubleshoot identity and authentication services (Keycloak, Active Directory, Entra ID/ADFS, PKI).
• Have a solid understanding of enterprise networking (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, and segmentation across enclaves). Troubleshooting often depend on how data moves through the customer's network.
• Maintain data center hardware, including firmware and OS updates on Dell servers, SAN storage, and Cisco network equipment.
• Plan and carry out system migrations and tech refreshes with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot complex problems that cross hardware, virtualization, OS, container, and application layers.
• Travel to customer locations in the US and abroad as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Things You Must Have to Apply:

• An active (currently in use) – TS/SCI
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or equivalent education and work experience.
• At least one DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification https://public.cyber.mil/wid/dod8140/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/ at IAT level II (2) or higher.
• (These are required only for DoD professional services roles.)
• The ability to obtain the appropriate work authorizations required under U.S. ITAR or EAR regulations from the applicable U.S. government agency.

4+ years of experience performing the following tasks:

• Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux in physical and virtualized environments.
• Building and maintaining virtual infrastructure on enterprise hypervisor platforms.
• Applying and fixing security controls and vulnerabilities based on DISA STIGs or compliance scan results.
• Installing, maintaining, and updating firmware on enterprise server hardware, SAN storage, and network equipment.
• Supporting enterprise products at customer sites as a first line of support, and working with vendor support and development teams to resolve bugs.
• Windows Server administration, including services and service accounts.
• Enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewall rules, and common protocols (TCP/UDP, SSH, SCP, HTTPS).
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate tasks and troubleshoot.
• Kubernetes and containerized application administration.
• Working independently at customer sites while managing several priorities.
• Communicating technical issues to customers, stakeholders, and management, both in writing and verbally.

Preferred :

• Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), including hybrid on-premises connectivity.
• Configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Helm, Terraform).
• Consulting, field engineering, or professional services.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$151,800.00-187,500.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
