Job summary

Everfox LLC is seeking a Senior Cyber Engineer to join our professional services team. You’ll troubleshoot complex security and infrastructure issues at customer sites, working independently while coordinating with Everfox engineers.

The role requires TS/SCI, 4+ years of DoD-related experience, and hands-on expertise with Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and security compliance. Travel will be frequent, with both on-site and remote work as needed.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required and in-use.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
• At least one DoD 8570 Baseline Certification at IAT II or higher.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows Server in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized apps.
• Strong networking knowledge including routing, switching, and security controls.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites and travel as needed.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and identity services (Keycloak, Active Directory/Entra ID).

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Everfox solutions; visit customer locations to resolve issues and support integrations.

• Administer and harden RHEL and Windows Server systems and hypervisors.
• Manage cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure) and network components including load balancers.
• Administer Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Deploy Elastic Stack environments and build dashboards for logging/metrics.
• Deploy and troubleshoot endpoint agents and policy configurations.
• Integrate identity services (Keycloak, Entra ID/ADFS) and PKI with systems.

Supporting these customers will require you to troubleshoot and resolve various issues independently. While you’ll have access to other engineering staff, you’ll be expected to be a self-starter and multitask while communicating effectively with the customers and Everfox management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience providing administrator or SME-level support for in infrastructure and endpoint security solutions, such as HBSS, Tanium, Digital Guardian, etc. **What You'll be Doing:** Many job listings provide a wide range of confusing and often vague terms. Visit customer locations in the US and abroad, often working independently, to resolve technical issues, support integrations, and own issues through resolution.* Install, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot Everfox solutions in physical, virtual, and air-gapped environments.* Administer RHEL and Windows Server systems and hypervisor platforms, including patching and hardening.* Support Everfox solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure), including networking, load balancers, and hybrid connections back to on-premises systems.* Administer and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.* Deploy and maintain Elastic Stack environments (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), including bringing in log and metric data, tuning search performance, and building dashboards.* Deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot endpoint agents, including agent communication, install issues, and policy configuration.* Integrate and troubleshoot identity and authentication services (Keycloak, Active Directory, Entra ID/ADFS, PKI).* Have a solid understanding of enterprise networking (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, and segmentation across enclaves).
