Selective Insurance seeks an ITS Cyber Defense Senior Specialist to strengthen our cyber posture through SOC, incident response, and security engineering expertise. You will lead complex cybersecurity initiatives from planning through implementation and mentor team members.

You will partner with IT and business units to identify gaps, recommend solutions, and clearly communicate risks and status to stakeholders. The role requires after-hours availability for incidents.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years direct cybersecurity experience in security operations, incident response, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading security initiatives across teams and communicating risks to stakeholders.
• Industry certifications preferred (CISSP, GIAC, GCIH, GCFA).

Mansioni

• Serve as a senior SME and escalation point for Cyber Defense, providing technical leadership and mentorship.
• Monitor, analyze, investigate, and respond to security alerts across endpoint, network, identity, email, and cloud environments.
• Perform alert triage and case management, validate events, and escalate per procedures.
• Lead incident response activities, including scoping, evidence review, containment, and documentation.
• Administer and improve Cyber Defense technologies such as EDR, SIEM, NAC, and vulnerability tools.
• Tune alerts, reduce false positives, identify visibility gaps, and enhance tools and processes.
• Manage technical and operational improvement initiatives and report progress to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for troubleshooting and tool effectiveness.
• Contribute to policy, standard, and procedure development and regulatory alignment.
• Participate in IT Security on-call rotation for high-priority events.
