Job summary

Constellation is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Operations Center professional to maintain and enhance the CSOC, deploy data feeds, and monitor advanced security environments across SIEM, EDR, and related technologies.

You will implement monitoring content, advise on security best practices, and help protect critical infrastructure while coordinating with engineering and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in cyber security.
• 5+ years solid, diverse experience in cyber security vulnerability assessments or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Knowledge in the following core technical competencies: SIEM, EDR, Microsoft security suite, Linux, Palo Alto, Cribl or BindPlane.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and digital product development.
• Knowledge of how network services and protocols interact to provide network communications.
• Knowledge of Threat Lifecycle Management & Incident Management & Lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Cyber SOC processes and Cyber SOC Engineering.
• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and directory services (Active Directory).
• Skill in troubleshooting cyber defense infrastructure anomalies and resolution.
• Skill in securing network communications.
• Knowledge of defending against malware and web filtering technologies.
• Knowledge of cyber defense policies, procedures, and regulations
• Knowledge of testing procedures and security benchmarks

Responsibilities

• Deploy new data source feeds into SIEM and develop initial monitoring content.
• Monitor SIEM infrastructure performance.
• Refine and improve security technologies used by CSOC; perform system administration of cyber defense applications.
• Provide Log & Monitoring Design Services and identify conflicts with tool testing.
• Provide Security Advisory Services to stakeholders.
• Assist in protecting critical cyber defense infrastructure and resources.
• Lead SOC Release Management and SOC Change Management initiatives.
• Ensure availability of threat and vulnerability management tools and appliances.
• Assist in assessing impact of dedicated cyber defense infrastructure.
• Lead projects to enhance security technologies, practices, and processes.
