Job summary

Workday is expanding its Cyber Defense team to support US federal contracts, including a move into an air‑gapped classified cloud. We’re seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to lead cybersecurity in this environment, handling vulnerability management, incident response, threat hunting, and threat detection alongside a cross‑functional team.

The role may require TS/SCI w/CI Poly clearance; ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government issued clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technical security consultancy, security operations, response, vulnerability management, threat detection, or threat hunting.
• 2+ years of hands‑on technical leadership experience.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and managing systems in the AWS or Microsoft Top Secret clouds.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a Master’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability management, incident response, threat hunting, and threat detection for federal contracts.
• Collaborate with customers and Cyber Defense teams to ensure consistency across environments.
• Develop best practices for the air‑gapped classified cloud environment.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to drive security initiatives and projects.
