Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to serve as a senior technical voice on Detection Engineering, supporting next-generation cyber defense across Cox's portfolio of automotive solutions. You will design, build, and maintain advanced detection capabilities and mentor other engineers, partnering with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams.

The role requires hands-on SIEM/SOAR knowledge, multi-cloud security experience, and expertise in AI-driven detection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; 6+ years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead detection engineering efforts for enterprise security.
• Architect and deploy AI-based detection agents and automation.
• Collaborate with Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management teams.
• Maintain SIEM/Data Lake ingestion infrastructure and configurations.
• Develop detection rules and automation playbooks for Cox Automotive.
