Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking a Cyber Claims Counsel in New York to handle high-exposure cyber claims from inception to resolution. The role requires a JD and active bar admission, with 5+ years in cyber coverage or related complex litigation.

You will coordinate with breach counsel, forensic investigators, and defense teams to shape strategy and reserves. The successful candidate will influence claim outcomes, contribute to the growth of the cyber claims operation, and interact with underwriting,

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience handling Cyber claims or related complex litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of complex first- and third-party Cyber claims from notice through resolution.
• Analyze policy language, coverage, liability, damages, and litigation risk; establish reserves and provide assessments.
• Draft coverage position letters, reservation of rights letters, and claim communications.
• Evaluate high-severity matters including ransomware, BEC, data breaches, privacy incidents, and regulatory investigations.
• Coordinate with breach counsel, forensic teams, and defense counsel; collaborate on strategy and expenses.
• Prepare large-loss assessments and present to senior leadership as needed.
