Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems seeks a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer (Cyber A&A Engr) to join the C2BMC program in Colorado Springs, CO. The role supports continuous system authorization, applying RMF controls and DoD requirements to complex mission systems.

The ideal candidate will have deep cybersecurity engineering experience with RMF, ACAS/SCC/ConfigOS, and eMASS/Xacta, and will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure cybersecurity posture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with required years of experience or advanced degree with fewer years
• Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher required to start

Responsibilities

• Perform Assessment & Authorization activities in support of continuous system authorization for C2BMC and mission systems
• Analyze scan results to identify vulnerabilities and gaps across complex environments
• Review and interpret RMF controls and DoD cybersecurity requirements; provide guidance to teams
• Develop and maintain POA&Ms with remediation plans
• Conduct risk analysis for Risk Acceptance Requests and recommend actions
• Use eMASS/Xacta to create and maintain authorization packages
• Support accreditation of Cross Domain Solutions and coordinate with stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to plan, execute, document assessments
• Assist with user account management and least-privilege adherence
• Contribute to patch and configuration management and verify compliance
• Prepare and present technical documentation and briefings
