Job summary

Farmers Insurance is seeking a data engineer to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets and support end-to-end data workflows. You will collaborate with Customer Experience analytics teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data infrastructure.

The role requires strong SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT skills, with experience in dbt and Airflow, and a solid grounding in data modeling and governance across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5–7 years of related work experience required.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency with SQL, data pipelines, dimensional modeling, and BI visualizations.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
• Partner with analysts and scientists to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and security in line with regulations.
• Create and optimize data pipelines using dbt, Airflow, and cloud services.
