Job summary

GlobalFoundries is hiring a Senior Process Engineer for the Fab9 CVD module in Essex Junction, VT. The on-site, Mon-Fri daytime role focuses on sustaining and improving CVD processes to fabricate dielectric and conductive films, while developing new processes and materials.

The candidate will lead projects, analyze data, and partner with maintenance/engineering teams to boost yield and cycle time, with up to 10% travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or related field.
• 2–3 years semiconductor process experience; lead projects.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge (5S, kaizen, value stream mapping).
• Strong communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Own and sustain CVD module processes to meet quality, yield, cost and cycle-time goals.
• Develop and qualify new CVD processes, tooling, and materials.
• Collaborate with equipment engineering to improve tool performance.
• Analyze process data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new technology transfer into manufacturing.
• Create standard work documentation and training materials.
• Drive cross-functional coordination across teams.
