GlobalFoundries is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Fab9 CVD module, on site in Essex Junction, VT. The role owns existing CVD processes, sustains improvements, and develops new methods to fabricate dielectric and conductive films.

The ideal candidate has a chemical/materials engineering background with 4–5 years or a higher degree with related experience, strong problem solving, data analysis, and English fluency for cross-functional collaboration.

Competenze

• Education –Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Materials or related engineering field plus 4-5 years relevant experience OR Masters degree plus 2-4 years relevant experience OR PhD plus 1-2 years relevant experience
• Problem solving and communication of action plans
• Travel - Up to 10%
• Fluency in English Language – both written & verbal
• Physical Capacity Demands – Ability to lift and carry parts up to 30 lbs. Stand, or bend and crouch to inspect, or work on equipment in the clean room for extended periods of time
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning & organizational skills
• Advanced data analysis experience
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, equipment and clean room facilities

Mansioni

• Collaborate daily with maintenance technicians, process technicians and peer engineers to meet production demands
• Drives continuous improvement projects with respect to equipment availability, cost reduction, and yield improvement
• Supports or leads cross functional problem solving, involving facilities, maintenance and equipment engineering
• Supports installation and startup of new or retrofit equipment
• Mentor and lead lower-level engineering team members
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
• Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor
