Traffic Tech, based in Chicago, is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to manage the customs release and entry process for import transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely clearance.

The role reviews documentation, processes entries end-to-end, and supports clients toward compliant declarations, with a focus on customer service and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customs brokerage or customs entry processing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of HS/HTS classification and clearance procedures.
• CCS designation preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices, manifests, and supporting docs for customs and company compliance.
• Process customs entries from start to finish, including data entry, classification, valuation, and release.
• Handle complex entries, identify documentation issues, and work with customers to resolve them.
• Prepare and submit release docs to customs and other agencies as required.
• Provide customs guidance and support to customers and internal teams.
• Ensure entries are processed accurately, efficiently, and compliant.
