Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego seeks a Customer Quality Engineer to establish a close relationship with our data center customers, lead all quality communications with them, and be the voice of the customer to internal teams.

You will drive resolutions for reported issues, coordinate audits, and work across functions to assess risks and implement containment, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related field with 4+ years hardware engineering experience.
• Master's degree in CS/EE or related field with 3+ years hardware experience.
• PhD in CS/EE or related field with 2+ years hardware experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead conference calls and on-site meetings with customers related to quality.
• Track customer quality metrics and report to customer and internal management.
• Coordinate and participate in customer audits and issue resolutions.
• Interface with customers, integrators and partners on-site to support problem solving.
• Craft presentations covering containment, root cause, risk, corrective actions and recovery.
• Work cross-functionally to assess product risk and drive continuous improvement.
