Job summary

University of California, Berkeley is seeking a Sr. Custodian - Limited to maintain campus buildings clean and sanitary, serving students, faculty, staff, and conference attendees.

You will perform custodial tasks across classrooms, labs, conference rooms, and public areas with attention to safety and sustainability. The role is a 5-month, full-time (40 hours/week), limited temporary position eligible for UC benefits.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience working as a professional custodian.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and methods for different floor surfaces.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb. and move up to 100 lb.
• Basic English skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers.
• Clean and maintain assigned areas including classrooms, offices and facilities.
• Operate and maintain custodial equipment following safety guidelines.
• Restock supplies and ensure hygiene and safety standards are met.
• Adhere to university safety, waste reduction and sustainability initiatives.
