Job summary

Florida State University is seeking a Custodial Services Supervisor to oversee Custodial Supervisors, provide training, and set workloads. The role plans cleaning methods and frequencies while coordinating with the supervisory chain on daily operations and personnel matters.

The position also conducts inspections for cleanliness, initiates work orders, and maintains inventories. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required, with 5:00am–1:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; two years of experience or an equivalent combination.
• Valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver's License or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Custodial Supervisors; provides training and instruction; sets goals and workloads.
• Plans cleaning methods and frequency; communicates with management on operations and personnel matters.
• Conducts inspections for cleanliness; initiates work orders and reports deficiencies.
• Coordinates special custodial projects; liaises with staff and faculty to avoid disruption.
• Manages inventory and equipment; ensures maintenance of carts and cleaning machines.
• Operates university vehicles as necessary and performs other duties as assigned.
