Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania’s KordingLab is seeking a Senior Curriculum Developer for the Community for Rigor (C4R) to design and deliver rigorous educational content for scientists at all career stages, in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

You will develop, deploy, assess, and revise learning materials that promote reproducibility, open science, and effective pedagogy, while contributing to a supportive, inclusive working environment with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of experience teaching in higher education (or Doctoral degree with 0 years).
• Familiarity with evidence-based pedagogy and instructional design.
• Empathy with learners and ability to meet them where they are.
• Strong writing and documentation skills including updating internal knowledge documents.
• Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and multimedia scripts.

Responsibilities

• Work with subject matter experts and educators to create engaging educational content.
• Provide feedback on design and UX of web-based components and update materials accordingly.
• Collaborate across teams within C4R, Kording Lab, Penn, and partners.
• Communicate effectively across teams and provide actionable guidance.
• Support C4R values and culture throughout processes.
• Present content to test audiences and travel to conferences (less than 10%).
