Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer – Level 6 in Redondo Beach, CA for the Space Sector.

You will design, develop, test, and debug software for embedded and real-time systems, collaborating with Systems Engineering, Hardware and Digital teams in an Agile environment. Qualifications include a STEM degree with 14+ years of software experience (12+ with MS or 10+ with PhD), active US Secret clearance, and strong C/C++ skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 14+ years of software development experience.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ development.
• Extensive experience with VxWorks RTOS.
• Hands-on GPU/CUDA experience, including GPU-accelerated applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, integrate, test, and debug software solutions for end-user customers.
• Support architecture, development, and lifecycle management of embedded and real-time systems.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, and I&T within an Agile environment.
• Analyze system capabilities to troubleshoot issues related to program intent, data acquisition, and control strategies.
• Work in a fast-paced lab environment with rapid development cycles.
