Job summary

Charleston Area Medical Center Imaging Center Southridge in South Charleston, WV is seeking a CT Tech Level 3 to perform CT studies for Radiologist interpretation. The role involves patient history intake, positioning, contrast administration, safety protocols, and collaboration with multiple departments to meet diagnostic needs.

Responsibilities include supervising student technologists, maintaining sterile technique, keeping documentation up to date, and supporting quality improvement

Qualifications

• Formalized training in radiologic technology is required.
• Credentials include ARRT, ARRT CT, Radiologic Technologist license and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures at a technical level with moderate supervision.
• Assist Radiologists with examinations and provide education on CT safety and protocols.
• Obtain patient history and position patients with immobilization as needed.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and ensure consent is obtained prior to injection.
• Operate CT equipment safely and maintain records of imaging procedures.
• Instruct and mentor student technologists during clinical training.
• Attend meetings and seminars to stay current with skills and safety standards.
