Job summary

Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT seeks a Senior CT Technologist to perform radiographic procedures at a level requiring minimal supervision.

You will apply ionizing radiation per safety standards, support timely patient care, and contribute to the Radiology Department's policies and orientation activities. This role requires independent judgment, CT/ radiography experience, Montana licensure, ARRT CT certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Must hold Montana Radiologic Technologist license or be eligible.
• ARRT CT certification required.
• BLS certification required at hire.

Job description

The Senior CT Technologist, under the direction of a radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring minimal supervision. The Senior CT Technologist will provide services timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in special procedures for a radiologic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent, while providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards. The Senior CT Technologist will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Radiology Department's Policy and Procedures Manual; will assist in assigned administrative tasks and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. He/she will also participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the outlined department. The Senior CT Technologist will assist in the orientation of new caregivers and students to the department.

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography or
  • Upon hire: National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
• 3 yearsGeneral Radiology/CT experience.
