Bitwarden, the identity security leader, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in cryptography to join their all-remote team. You will design and develop key hierarchies and cryptographic protocols to protect millions of users worldwide, and tackle complex technical challenges.

Ideal candidates should have strong proficiency in Rust and experience with secure cryptographic protocols. The starting compensation range for this role in the US is $140,000 – $200,000, depending on experience and skills.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency and experience in Rust.
• Experience designing and implementing secure cryptographic protocols.
• Familiarity with secure storage mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure key hierarchies and cryptographic protocols.
• Enforce secure key management practices across clients and servers.
• Help design usable APIs that abstract crypto for developers.

Skills

Strong proficiency in Rust

Experience with TypeScript

Experience with C#

Designing secure cryptographic protocols

Familiarity with OS-level key management APIs

Knowledge of secure key management practices
