Job summary

KBR's National Security Solutions team seeks an Enterprise Crypto Security Engineer to join our space and ground cryptographic program in El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO. You will lead design, integration, and testing of encryption units to protect national security systems.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, a Bachelor's degree, 7+ years in systems engineering with crypto and DoD experience, and strong collaboration with government customers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years' experience in systems engineering including crypto, cyber security, requirements, verification, integration, and test.
• 7+ years' experience with crypto, NSA certification processes, and Key Management processes.
• 5+ years' experience with military/DoD/Intelligence Community space and ground.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in development, integration, and delivery of space and ground cryptographic units.
• Lead spacecraft cryptographic unit trade studies; provide data-driven recommendations.
• Oversee design, interfaces, development, and delivery of encryption units; ensure subsystems compatibility.
• Manage crypto design, interfaces, development, and delivery with ground systems and secure architectures.
• Support testing activities for encryption units including dry runs, SVTs, TRRs, and CDRL reviews.
• Provide PKMA support including secure key management processes and architecture alignment.
• Build relationships with government customers, contractors, and partners; represent crypto engineering in reviews.
• Lead and mentor engineers; assign tasks and conduct technical reviews.
• Oversee crypto lifecycle management within program schedules.
• Establish and enforce cryptographic standards across programs and platforms.
