Job summary

Wintermute is seeking an experienced options trader to build and scale our option trading business. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with no legacy systems and a strong owner mentality, aligning your incentives with the company’s growth.

You will monitor crypto market flows, backtest strategies, and develop alpha signals while actively trading and managing risk across multiple exchanges. Strong coding skills in Python are a significant advantage, with the expectation to learn quickly

Qualifications

3-5+ years of option liquidity provision at top tier trading firms.
Strong Python coding ability or willingness to learn Python quickly.

Responsibilities

Monitor and rationalise crypto market flows across spot, futures, and options to identify volatility and skew dislocations.
Analyse exchange-level positioning, funding dynamics, open interest, and on/off-exchange flows for trading opportunities.
Backtest volatility surface dynamics, term structure, skew behaviour, and dispersion trades across major digital assets.
Develop and refine alpha signals using market microstructure and quantitative tools.
Manage a multi-exchange crypto options portfolio, including delta, vega, gamma, and cross-venue risk.
Collaborate with engineering to optimise execution latency and automation across exchanges.
