The New York State Department of Financial Services is seeking a Virtual Currency Financial Crimes Risk Specialist to conduct BSA/AML program reviews and lead financial crime examinations of licensed and chartered entities in the virtual currency space.

The role requires expertise in cryptocurrency-related financial crime, use of blockchain analytics tools, and clear communication of findings to management and stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Nine years of specialized experience evaluating financial crime risk (BSA/AML, CIP, OFAC/Sanctions, CTF) in a management, compliance or audit environment.
• 3+ years of direct experience working in the crypto industry utilizing blockchain analytics and OSINT tools (preferred).
• Subject matter expertise in financial crime, fraud, virtual assets, and/or blockchain analytics (preferred).
• Solid knowledge of BSA/AML, Sanctions (OFAC), and related laws, regulations, and best practices (preferred).
• Valid certifications in blockchain analytics, anti-money laundering, fraud examination, or related compliance areas (preferred).
