Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Hampton, NH seeks a Senior Cryogenic Characterization Engineer / Lab Lead to lead electrical, thermal, mechanical, and cryogenic characterization of quantum and cryogenic interconnect products.

You will develop test plans, operate cryogenic test systems, analyze data, mentor staff, and collaborate with R&D, quality, and manufacturing to ensure product reliability and process improvements.

Qualifications

• BS required in mechanical/electrical/physics/materials science or related field.
• 5+ years in cryogenic testing/characterization or related area.
• Hands-on with cryogenic systems, cryostats, dilution refrigerators, vacuum systems.
• Ability to design and execute environmental and electrical characterization tests.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, thermal, mechanical and cryogenic characterization and qualification.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and qualification programs for new and existing products.
• Operate, maintain, and improve cryogenic test systems, cryostats, vacuum systems, and lab infrastructure.
• Develop and perform electrical and RF characterization using VNAs, TDRs, multimeters, temperature controllers and data acquisition.
• Analyze test data to identify trends, failures, and opportunities for improvement.
• Mentor engineers and technicians in cryogenic testing and laboratory practices.
