Job summary

UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco seeks a CRNA to administer anesthesia for surgical procedures and other designated care settings under faculty supervision. The role involves preoperative assessment, anesthesia planning, monitoring intraoperative status, and post‑operative care coordination across UCSF locations.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure safe, efficient patient management while adhering to HIPAA and medical bylaws.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of CRNA experience.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and meet California RN requirements.
• Graduate from a school of anesthesia accredited by CAC; certified by COA or NBCRNA.
• Master’s degree or higher in Nurse Anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Determine patient condition prior to a procedure and conduct preoperative evaluation.
• Plan for and administer anesthetics including inhalation, IV, and regional techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and intraoperative parameters; manage fluids and drugs as needed.
• Communicate with the surgical team and adjust anesthesia as required.
• Document anesthesia care per legal requirements and follow-up post-operatively.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing; RN licensure in California; CRNA certification
