Job summary

The US Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join the Salt Lake City facility. The APN(CNA) will provide a full range of anesthesia services, work to advance VA mission, and practice to the full extent of training and certification.

Responsibilities include pre-op assessment, developing anesthetic plans, administering various anesthesia types, monitoring patients, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia.
• Active, current license to practice as a CNA in the United States.
• NBCRNA certification or equivalent.
• COA accreditation during education.
• Grandfathering provision applies for VA employees meeting qualification standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of anesthesia services and management.
• Pre-anesthetic evaluation including history and consent.
• Develop patient-specific anesthetic plans and document them.
• Administer inhalational, regional, IV, local, and topical anesthetics.
• Monitor physiologic status and manage intraoperative changes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure safe perioperative care.
