Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to support mission-critical facility operations, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and vendor management. Responsibilities span mechanical, electrical, HVAC, UPS, and power systems to ensure safe, reliable building performance.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with vendors, while supporting compliant, efficient operations across shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in critical facilities, data centers, or related environments.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, HVAC, UPS, and power distribution systems.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends/holidays with scheduling flexibility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, climbing ladders).
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on critical mechanical and electrical systems.
• Monitor and respond to Building Management System (BMS) alarms and facility issues.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, UPS, PDU, and other critical infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor and subcontractor activities while ensuring safety standards.
• Maintain maintenance records, permits, procedures, and regulatory documentation.
