Qualifications

• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
• RN licensure in Texas with PSV Compact; must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing residency.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH Stroke Scale certification within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and nursing assessments.
• Develops and communicates plan of care with patient, family and interprofessional team.
• Mentors staff and students; may precept and participate in shared governance initiatives.
• Adheres to patient safety and quality standards and coordinates care with the interprofessional team.

Education

Graduate of education program approved by credentialing body
