Mount Rogers Community Services Board is seeking a Crisis Counselor I to provide clinical services across community settings, crisis stabilization centers, and mobile units. The position emphasizes collaboration with teams to ensure safe, least-restrictive interventions, timely documentation, and adherence to state licensure and QA requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for QMHP-trainee or possess QMHP through the Virginia Board of Counseling
• Bachelor's degree is required and evidence per Board requirements
• Must submit QMHP trainee application within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization in the crisis care center, home, and community through mobile services.
• Develop measurable individualized service plans for crisis stabilization.
• Assist clients in maintaining stability after discharge until linked with other services.
• Communicate with clients, families, and multi-system representatives to coordinate care.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in evaluations and follow-through.
• Meet productivity standards and document in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Complete GPRAs, NOMs, and other mandated assessments.
• Ensure records comply with DBHDS licensure guidelines and QA activities.
