Job summary

Texas A&M International is seeking a DPS - CLD - Crime Laboratory Evidence Technician to support evidence receipt, storage, inventory, and destruction in accordance with court orders and regulations. Work with laboratory vaults and LIMS; assist with training, materials, and compliance.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of related experience in a lab or business environment, plus the ability to handle confidential information and operate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of progressively responsible experience in a lab or business environment recording data, inventory, or analysis; or in a law enforcement setting handling evidence.
• Substitution: 15+ semester hours of Criminal Justice or Forensic Science coursework.

Responsibilities

• Keep laboratory vaults clean and orderly; assist with evidence handling and inventory in LIMS.
• May supervise others and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Attend work regularly and follow agency policies on leave and attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
