Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Senior Criminal Intelligence Analyst to provide direct, frontline intelligence support for ongoing investigations. You will produce graphs, charts, and maps and analyze datasets to identify persons for further investigation, coordinating with officers and detectives.

The role requires strong knowledge of crime analysis, data interpretation, and reporting, with experience in government or law enforcement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Four (4) years of experience as a crime analyst or intelligence analyst for a law enforcement agency
• Equivalencies: Associate+2 years; Bachelor+1 year; Master+ meets requirements
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• Background check and drug test required

Responsibilities

• Prepares graphs, charts, tables, matrices, and maps for analysis and presentation.
• Collects, analyzes, and disseminates information on criminal activity.
• Identifies gaps in data and prepares comprehensive written reports.
• Debriefs informants, witnesses, and others with information.
• Works with Officers and Detectives on investigative strategies and direction.
