Job summary

Golden Star Technology Inc. (GST), headquartered in Cerritos, California, is seeking a Senior AV Control System Programmer to independently lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of control systems across enterprise, education, and government environments.

You will work with Crestron, Extron, AMX, and DSP platforms, develop UI touch panels, validate systems on-site, and ensure reliable, well-documented solutions while collaborating with engineering, project management, and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-7+ years Crestron/AMX programming in commercial AV environments.
• Strong experience with AV control systems, DSP configuration/calibration and video conferencing.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV, control, and network issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead programming, testing, and deployment of control systems on Crestron, Extron, and AMX.
• Design intuitive, consistent touchpanel user interfaces.
• Develop custom modules, device drivers, and advanced automation logic.
• Configure, tune, and validate DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, BSS).
• Review AV drawings and signal flow diagrams for feasibility.
• In-house testing and on-site commissioning, verification, and acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot complex AV, control, and network issues.
• Support project teams, manufacturers, and clients through deployment and close-out.
• Maintain programming standards, documentation, and version control.
• Travel to job sites as required.

What You'll Do

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming, Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience
• 5-7+ years of hands‑on Crestron or AMX programming experience in commercial AV environments
• Strong experience with AV control systems, video conferencing platforms, switching hardware, AV‑over‑IP, and DSP configuration/calibration
• Deep understanding of audio DSP setup, tuning, and optimization
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV, control, and network‑related issues

Required Certifications

• Harman Certified Control Professional (CP)
• Extron GC Pro
• Crestron and/or AMX programming certifications

Preferred Certifications

• CTS or CTS‑D
• Advanced Crestron, Extron, or AMX certifications
• Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+)
