Job summary

GST is seeking an AV Control System Programmer to design, develop, test, and deploy control system code, user interfaces, DSP configurations, and integrated AV solutions for enterprise clients, education, and government partners.

The role blends hands-on programming, in-house testing, and on-site commissioning. You will collaborate with engineering, project management, and client teams, tackling system logic challenges and delivering real-world AV solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of Crestron or AMX programming in commercial AV environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AV control systems, video conferencing, switching hardware, AV-over-IP and DSP setup/calibration.
  • Strong understanding of audio DSP setup, tuning, and calibration.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AV, control, and network issues.

Responsibilities

  • Program, test, and deploy control systems on Crestron, AMX, and Extron platforms.
  • Design intuitive and consistent touch panel user interfaces.
  • Develop custom modules, device drivers, and automation logic.
  • Configure and tune DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, BSS, etc.).
  • Review AV drawings, schematics, and signal flow diagrams.
  • Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning, verification, and acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot integrated AV, control, and network systems.
  • Support project teams, manufacturers, and clients as needed.
  • Maintain programming documentation, standards, and version control.
  • Travel to job sites as required.

What You'll Do

Qualifications
Education/ Experience & Technical Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of Crestron or AMX programming in commercial AV environments
  • Hands‑on experience with AV control systems, video conferencing, switching hardware, AV‑over‑IP and -DSP setup/calibration
  • Strong understanding of audio DSP setup, tuning, and calibration
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AV, control, and network issues
Required Certifications
  • Harman Certified Control Professional (CP)
  • Extron GC-Pro
  • Crestron and/or AMX programming certifications
Preferred Certifications
  • CTS or CTS‑D
  • Advanced Crestron, Extron, or AMX certifications
  • Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+)
