Job summary

The role requires a 4-year degree and 7+ years in credit, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, plus proficiency in credit management systems and AIRB methodology.

Qualifications

• 4 year Undergraduate degree.
• 7+ years' experience in related field.
• Excellent credit underwriting and administration skills.
• Subject matter expertise in complex credit understanding.
• Superior ability to identify and mitigate risk.
• Value-add structuring alternatives for highly complex credits.
• Strong written and verbal communication with solid business acumen.
• Knowledge of AML, Privacy, Firewalls, Systems & Information Security, FCAC.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and concentrate for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and compliance within an assigned portfolio.
• Perform credit underwriting and credit administration functions.
• Establish Borrower Risk Ratings and Facility Risk Ratings for new and existing credits.
• Perform in-depth credit analysis of diverse, complex portfolios.
• Prepare credit applications for new and existing borrowers, including renewals and annual reviews.
• Manage approval, documentation, and negotiation of transactions.
• Monitor the portfolio and covenant compliance forms on a monthly basis.
• Coordinate with Relationship Manager and Credit Officer to align with risk appetite.
• Provide value-add structuring alternatives for complex credits.
