Job summary

Paychex is seeking an underwriting professional to manage the entire underwriting process for new clients from application receipt to funding. You will collaborate with the Sales team to evaluate prospective clients and ensure accurate credit assessments and documentation.

This role involves guiding the deal process, maintaining collateral files, and mentoring new team members within Alterna Capital Solutions, a Paychex company, to support fast, reliable funding for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
• Prefers 5 years of related work experience.
• Understanding of finance and credit practices.
• Ability to analyze data and understand business significance.

Responsibilities

• Researches and completes write-ups of client condition and operating results on financial and credit information.
• Researches guarantor's financial documents to determine viability and credit worthiness.
• Researches accounts receivable information for aging and concentration to assess risk.
• Guides Sales in information gathering and deal structuring.
• Builds and maintains initial collateral file for credit approval.
• Provides training and mentoring for new team members.
• Ensures completeness and accuracy of Client Approval Memorandum.
• Reviews prospective client agreements and all Alterna contracts/documents.
