Job summary

BMO Financial Group in the U.S. is seeking a senior credit risk professional to manage a defined borrowing portfolio with a focus on reducing loss exposure and maximizing profitability. You will apply expert credit judgment, advise stakeholders, and drive risk-aware decisions in line with policy.

Responsibilities include leading risk analytics, monitoring portfolio performance, coaching teams, and shaping strategy for regulatory compliance and risk mitigation across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Credit qualifications and knowledge per established standards.
• In-depth knowledge of banking products and services, regulations, and credit portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Advise stakeholders on complex, high-risk credit risk transactions and mitigation strategies.
• Lead risk analytics and monitoring for the portfolio and ensure data-informed decisions.
• Provide credit coaching and training to teams and stakeholders.
• Influence senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives based on business insights.
• Ensure alignment with policies and regulatory requirements across the bank.
