Job summary

BCI Miami is seeking a Senior Credit Manager to vet transactions, coordinate credit underwriting, and lead a team of analysts in evaluating commercial loan applications. Strong focus on LATAM, with exposure to Corporate, CRE, and Private Banking lending, requiring extensive underwriting knowledge.

The role oversees policy compliance, risk controls, and collaboration with Head Office, while mentoring staff, directing deadlines, and ensuring accurate credit documentation for committee review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of coursework and work experience.
• At least 10 years of related experience.
• Fluency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Accept transactions to be booked in the branch and veto those not meeting standards.
• Provide guidance and direction to the team, set performance standards and supervise.
• Mentor subordinates with coaching and feedback to improve knowledge and skills.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and take disciplinary actions when needed.
• Review credit proposals with financial statement analysis for credit committee.
