Job summary

Expand Energy is seeking a Sr. Manager - Credit in Spring, TX to lead counterparty risk management across North American gas trading (physical and financial).

You will enable commercial growth within risk appetite by delivering timely, disciplined credit decisions that support front-office execution. You will serve as the primary interface between Credit and Trading, ensuring robust governance, portfolio oversight, and risk-controlled deal structuring in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; advanced degrees preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in credit risk management within energy trading or commodities markets.
• Experience with counterparty underwriting, exposure management, and collateral structuring.

Responsibilities

• Credit Decisioning: approve or challenge pre-deal credit exposure and deliver real-time credit decisions.
• Portfolio Management: monitor daily exposure, manage limits, watchlist, and concentrations.
• Collateral & Structuring: negotiate CSA terms and optimize collateral usage.
• Commercial Integration: serve as embedded credit partner to traders with fast turnarounds.
• Governance & Reporting: produce exposure and concentration reporting; support risk committees.
• Systems & Data: ensure credit data integrity and improve reporting and automation.
