Scotiabank in Houston seeks a Senior Manager, Energy Credit Risk to lead the U.S. energy portfolio, covering upstream, midstream, refining, chemicals and oilfield services. You will report to the Director, U.S. Credit Risk Houston and drive risk-informed decisions within the bank’s risk appetite.

You will manage a broad credit coverage, guide analysts, and coordinate with governance, audit and regional teams to ensure timely adjudication and robust portfolio monitoring.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; Master’s or designation is an asset.
• 5+ years in financial and credit risk analysis within the energy sector.
• Understanding of lending policies, procedures and practices.
• Familiarity with credit documentation issues.
• Knowledge of financial projections and sensitivities.
• Experience with internal credit assessments and portfolio strategy discussions.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a portfolio of credits across the U.S. Energy sector and present transactions to senior executives.
• Ensure prompt adjudication of credit applications and reviews with concise recommendations.
• Coach credit analysts and standardize communication and processes across the team.
• Oversee portfolio monitoring, risk identification, and industry trend analysis.
• Collaborate with Governance and Reporting to design data quality tools.
