Job summary

Purpose Financial is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst in Greenville, SC to own the LOC analytics agenda, from acquisition scoring to loss forecasting, with a focus on responsible growth. You will collaborate with Finance, Product, Digital Operations, Collections, and Compliance, presenting insights to leadership and mentoring analysts.

The role requires 3–5+ years in credit risk analytics, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience deploying production risk models. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in credit risk analytics or modeling in consumer lending.
• Hands-on production credit risk modeling experience.
• Strong SQL skills with large, complex datasets.
• Familiarity with ECOA, Reg B, FCRA, fair lending, UDAAP, SR 11-7.
• Experience with revolving or line-based products (LOC, credit cards).
• Non-prime or subprime lending experience is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the credit risk analytics agenda for the LOC portfolio end-to-end.
• Partner with Finance, Product, Digital Operations, Collections, and Compliance.
• Present findings to senior leadership and mentor junior team members.
• Build, validate, and deploy machine learning and statistical models for the LOC lifecycle.
• Design champion/challenger tests to optimize line assignment and credit terms.
• Produce loss forecasts using vintage analysis, roll rates, and survival modeling.
• Translate complex analysis into actionable business recommendations.
• Support model risk management, internal validation, and regulatory review.
